Trail Ride and Optional Camping in the Uintas

We will meet at the Sinclair Gas Station in Kamas, Utah at 9:30 and be on the road by 10:00.

We will take Mirror Lake Highway to the trailhead, air down, and take a scenic route to Alexander Lake for a late lunch. Please pack your own beverages, lunches, and snacks. After lunch, we will get anyone who is not camping back to pavement on Mirror Lake Highway. Exact trail route and conditions will be released closer to the event date.

If you would like to camp Saturday night in the Uintas please bring your own gear, food, and water. We will be dispersed / primitive camping so there will not be water or electrical hookups. Camping location TBD based on group size.

The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest charges a $10 recreation fee for a 3 day pass

– The pass can be purchased ahead of time on recreation.gov by selecting the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache       National Forest
– You can pay day of with cash or check at a self-pay station
– If you have the America the Beautiful (National Parks) Pass then you do not need to pay the recreation fee
